Automotive General-Purpose Relay1 ScopeThis Standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, mark, package, storage and preservation of automotive general-purpose relay. This Standard is applicable to the automotive DC circuit mechanical contact type electromagnetic relay (including plug-in small general-purpose relays and other installation of relays, hereinafter referred to as relay).2 Normative ReferencesThe provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. GB/T 2408-1996 Plastics-Determination of the Burning Behaviour of Horizontal and Vertical Specimens in Contact with a Small-Flame Ignition Source JB/T 4159-1999 General Technical Requirements for Electric Products in the Tropics QC/T 73 Method of Compiling Model of Automobile Electric Equipment Product QC/T 78-1993 Automotive Plug-In Relay and Flasher Mounting Dimension QC/T 413-2002 Basic Technical Requirements for Automotive Electric Equipment3 DefinitionsThis Standard adopts the following definitions. 3.1 Normally open contact The contact that is in the disconnecting state, when the relay coil is not energized. 3.2 Normally closed contact stipulate din Table 1 of QC/T 413; and perform low-temperature test for 8h as per the selected lower limit storing temperature; when restoring to the room temperature, the relay’s operating voltage, release voltage and contact voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.6.1 and 4.6.2. 4.8.2 High-temperature resisting property The relay can work as per the requirements in the upper limit working temperature stipulate din Table 1 of QC/T 413; and perform high-temperature test for 8h as per the selected upper limit storing temperature; when restoring to the room temperature, the relay’s operating voltage, release voltage and contact voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.6.1 and 4.6.2. 4.8.3 Temperature-change resisting property Perform the temperature-change resisting property test as per the requirements of 3.10.3 of QC/T 413; after the completion of test and the temperature restoring to the room temperature, the relay’s operating voltage, release voltage and contact voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.6.1 and 4.6.2. 4.9 Product temperature-and-humidity-change resisting property Perform the temperature-and-humidity-change resisting property test as per the requirements of 3.11 of QC/T 413; after the completion of test and temperature restoring to the room temperature, the relay’s contact voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.6.2. 4.10 Vibration property Under non-working conditions, the installation position shall be “other positions” according to Table 3 in 3.12 of QC/T 413, the relay shall withstand sweep vibration test from three directions, namely, X, Y, Z; after the completion of test, relay shall meet the requirements of 4.6.1 and 4.6.2. 4.11 Salt spray resisting property Under non-working conditions, according to the provisions of 3.13 of QC/T 413, perform 48h salt spray test against the relay; after the completion of test, the relay’s operating voltage and release voltage shall meet the requirements of 4.6.1. 4.12 Durability The working times for relay durability shall be 100 000 times, which can also be determined by the client’s specific demand. After the durability test, the relay’s operating voltage and release voltage shall conform to the provisions of 4.6.1; compared with Table 3, the contact voltage drop can increase 50%. 5.7 Insulation and voltage resisting test Perform the insulation and voltage resisting test against the specimen according to the method stipulated in 4.8.1 of QC/T 413; which shall conform to the provisions of 4.7. 5.8 Temperature resisting property test 5.8.1 Low-temperature test Firstly, check whether the relay can start under the lower limit working temperature; then perform the low-temperature storing test according to the test methods stipulated in 4.10.1 of QC/T 413; after the completion of the test, placing the relay under room temperature for 1h, its property shall conform to the provisions of 4.8.1. 5.8.2 High-temperature test Firstly, check whether the relay can start under the upper limit working temperature; then perform high-temperature storing test according to the test methods stipulated in 4.10.2 of QC/T 413; after the completion of the test, placing the relay under room temperature for 1h, its property shall conform to the provisions of 4.8.2. 5.8.3 Temperature-change test Perform the temperature-change test according to the test methods stipulated in 4.10.3 of QC/T 413; after the completion of the test, placing the relay under room temperature for 1h, its property shall conform to the provisions of 4.8.3. 5.9 Composite temperature/humidity cycling test Perform the composite temperature/humidity cycling test according to 4.11 of QC/T 413; after the completion of test, and restoring to the room temperature; the relay property shall conform to the provisions of 4.9. 5.10 Vibration test Perform the test according to the methods stipulated in 4.12 of QC/T 413; after the completion of test, the relay property shall conform to the provisions of 4.10. 5.11 Salt spray test Perform the salt spray test for 48h according to 4.13 of QC/T 413; after the completion of test, the relay property shall conform to the provisions of 4.11. 5.12 Durability test Perform the durability test against the relay according to the prescribed wiring mode and load property parameters; one cycle (or one time) of test indicates the test is energized for 2s and not energized for 3s; after the completion of test, the property ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al. |
