Therefore, in the process of formulating the test method and performance requirement standards of the connectors for electrical wiring harnesses, with reference to ISO 8092.2:1996, the vehicle manufacturers generally think that the requirements of ISO 8092 for the performance requirements of connector are relatively low; they hope to improve performance requirements. However, these improved performance requirements are too high for motorcycles. Therefore, through negotiation, the test methods and general performance requirements for connectors are formulated in two parts: automobile and motorcycle. In the Part 1: Definitions, test methods and general performance requirements (the automobile part), on the basis of using ISO 8092.2:1996, improve some performance requirements and add some performance requirements and corresponding test methods; in addition to the adoption of some contents of international standards, the remaining test methods use national standards and related industry standards. In Part 2: Test methods and general performance requirements (motorcycle part), technical content identically adopts ISO 8092.2:1996. QC/T 417.3 ~ QC/T 417.5 identically adopts the contents of ISO 8092.1, 3, 4:1996, respectively. This series of standards replace QC/T 417-1999, QC/T 418-1999, QCn 29012-1991, from the date of implementation. This series of standards are proposed by the State Machinery Industry Bureau.
