This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces QB/T 2716-2005 "Leather - Preparation of chemical test samples". Compared with QB/T 2716-2005, in additional to editorial changes, the main technical differences between this standard and QB/T 2716-2005 are as follows: - ADD reference to "QB/T 2707"; - In "3 Principles", ADD "Powder" to the cutting of the specimen; - In "4 devices", CHANGE the unit of rotation speed, from "rpm/min" to "r/min"; CHANGE the screen aperture to (4 ± 0.5) mm, which was consistent with the ISO international standard; - In "5.2 Preparation of specimen", CHANGE the strip size of the specimen, before cutting into "Determined by the feeding system of the cutting device"; DELETE the "Note 1" in the original standard; ADJUST the conditioning of the dried specimen to the explanatory "Note 2"; ADD the content of test cutting as the explanatory "Note 1"; - ADD the provisions for hand-cut samples. This standard uses the redrafting method, to modify and adopts ISO 4044:2008 "Leather - Chemical tests - Preparation of chemical test samples". The method, which is used by ISO 4044:2008, is based on the method standard IUC 3 of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists (IULTCS). The technical differences between this standard and ISO 4044:2008 are: - In "Normative references", USE the relevant national standards of China; ADD the reference to "QB/T 2706"; - ADJUST the cleaning operation of the cutting device in "5 Preparation of specimen" in the original international standard, to the explanatory note to "4 Device"; - DIVIDE "5 Preparation of specimen" into "5.1 Sampling" and "5.2 Preparation of specimen"; ADD the provisions for "Sampling" in 5.1; ADJUST part of the content to the explanatory note to "5.2 Preparation of specimen"; - ADD the provisions for hand-cut samples; - ADD the content of "7 Test report", for ease of use. Use a cutting device, to cut the leather samples into granules or powders of suitable size.4 Devices
The cutting device is equipped with a rotating cutting knife; the rotating speed is 700 r/min ~ 1000 r/min; the cutting knife is as sharp as possible; it is equipped with a screen with an aperture of (4 ± 0.5) mm. Note: Cutting devices, screens, collectors shall be completely cleaned after each use, BUT they shall not be washed with water.5 Sampling and preparation of specimen
