1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements of on-board wireless communication
terminal (hereinafter referred to as the terminal), and describes the test methods and inspection
rules of the terminal.
This document is applicable to cellular mobile communication on-board wireless terminal.
Other types of terminals may take this as a reference.
2 Normative References
The contents of the following documents constitute indispensable clauses of this document
through the normative references in the text. In terms of references with a specified date, only
versions with a specified date are applicable to this document. In terms of references without a
specified date, the latest version (including all the modifications) is applicable to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 on-board wireless communication terminal
On-board wireless communication terminal refers to an electronic equipment installed on
vehicles that can establish connections and exchange information through technologies like
cellular mobile communication.
4 Symbols and Abbreviations
The following symbols and abbreviations are applicable to this document.

5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Functional Requirements
5.1.1 The terminal shall have a self-check function. If a fault occurs, the driver shall be
prompted acoustically or optically through the terminal (or a system associated with it). The
fault prompt mode shall be explained in the instruction manual of the automobile product.
5.1.4 The terminal shall only use SMD SIM cards for communication.
5.1.5 The terminal shall have a backup antenna, and the backup antenna shall at least support
all 4G frequency bands in Table 1, so as to avoid communication function failure caused by
disconnection of the external antenna. If the vehicle is equipped with a backup antenna with the
same function, it shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements.
5.2 Performance Requirements

5.3.2 Dustproof and waterproof performance
5.3.2.1 Dustproof performance
In accordance with 6.4.2.1, carry out the test. The protection degree shall comply with the
stipulations of IP5KX in GB/T 30038-2013.After the test, the terminal shall satisfy the
requirements of 5.2.
5.3.2.2 Waterproof performance
For terminals installed in exposed locations in the passenger compartment, in accordance with
6.4.2.2, carry out the test. The protection degree shall comply with the stipulations of IPX2 in
GB/T 30038-2013.After the test, the terminal shall satisfy the requirements of 5.2.
Terminals installed in non-exposed locations in the passenger compartment are exempted from
this requirement.
5.3.4 Environmental weather resistance
5.3.4.1 Scope of temperature and humidity
The range of temperature and humidity of the storage environment and the operating
environment of the terminal shall comply with the stipulations of Table 8.
5.3.4.2 Low-temperature storage
In accordance with 6.4.4.1, carry out the test. After the test, the terminal shall satisfy the
requirements of 5.2.
5.3.4.7 Rapid temperature changes of specified conversion time
In accordance with 6.4.4.6, carry out the test. After the test, the terminal shall satisfy the
requirements of 5.2.
5.3.4.8 Temperature cycle of specified change rate
In accordance with 6.4.4.7, carry out the test. During and after the test, the terminal shall satisfy
the requirements of 5.2.Through negotiation between the supply-side and the demand-side, the
lower limit of the maximum transmit power tolerance value during the test can be reduced by
2 dB.
6 Test Methods
6.1 Test Conditions
6.1.1 Test environmental conditions
If there are no other provisions, the test environmental conditions shall comply with the
stipulations of Table 10.
6.1.2 Test voltage

If there are no other provisions, the test voltage shall comply with the stipulations of Table 11.
6.1.3 DUT working modes
6.1.4 Construction of test environment
6.1.4.1 General requirements
In accordance with Figure 1, construct the test environment. The test environment shall reduce
the presence of co-channel or adjacent-channel interference.
6.1.4.2 Special requirements
6.1.5 Frequency band selection principle
In accordance with the grouping rules of 7.1, in the vehicle-regulated environmental evaluation
of 6.4, the frequency band shall be selected by the tester. Priority shall be given to 4G and / or
5G frequency band for the tests.
6.4 Vehicle-regulated Environmental Evaluation Test
6.4.1 Electrical properties test
6.4.1.2 Overvoltage test
6.4.1.2.1 Under the condition (Tmax 20 C)
DUT operates in working mode 3.2.In accordance with the method of 4.3.1.1.2 or 4.3.2.2 in
GB/T 28046.2-2019, carry out the test. During the test, randomly select a frequency band
supported by DUT, in accordance with Table 12, continue the properties test, until the test is
completed. After the test, randomly select a frequency band supported by DUT, in accordance
with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.1.4 Slow drop and rise test of supply voltage
DUT operates in working mode 3.2.In accordance with the method of 4.5.2 in GB/T 28046.2-
2019, carry out the test. After the test, randomly select a frequency band supported by DUT, in
accordance with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.1.5 Transient changes test of supply voltage
6.4.1.6 Reverse voltage test
DUT operates in working mode 3.2.In accordance with the method of 4.7.2 in GB/T 28046.2-
2019, carry out the test. After the test, randomly select a frequency band supported by DUT, in
accordance with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.1.7 Load dump test
DUT operates in working mode 3.2.In accordance with the method of 4.6.4.2 in GB/T 28046.2-
2019, carry out the test. After the test, randomly select a frequency band supported by DUT, in
accordance with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.1.10 Shor-circuit protection test
DUT operates in working mode 3.2.In accordance with the method of 4.10.2.1 in GB/T
28046.2-2019, carry out the test. After the test, randomly select a frequency band supported by
DUT, in accordance with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.1.11 Insulation resistance test
Set DUT to working mode 1.1.In accordance with the method of 4.12.2 in GB/T 28046.2-2019,
carry out the test. After the test, switch DUT to working mode 3.2, randomly select a frequency
band supported by DUT, in accordance with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.2 Dustproof and waterproof performance test
6.4.3.3 Free fall test
Set DUT to working mode 1.1.In accordance with the method of 4.3.2 in GB/T 28046.3-2011,
carry out the test. After the test, switch DUT to working mode 3.2, randomly select a frequency
band supported by DUT, in accordance with Table 12, carry out the properties test.
6.4.4 Environmental weather resistance test
6.4.4.1 Low-temperature storage test
Set DUT to working mode 1.1.In accordance with the lower limit of storage temperature
specified in Table 8 and the method of 5.1.1.1.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011, carry out the test. After
the test, let it stand for 2 h to return to normal temperature, switch DUT to working mode 3.2,
randomly select a frequency band supported by DUT, in accordance with Table 12, carry out
the properties test.
7 Inspection Rules
7.1 Sampling and Grouping of Type Test
For the type test, take samples from the terminals that have passed the exit-factory inspection
in accordance with the single sampling scheme specified in GB/T 2828.1.
7.2 Qualification Determination
The type test items of the terminals shall all comply with the specified requirements. If one item
is disqualified, re-take a double number of samples to conduct a re-inspection of the disqualified
items. If there are still disqualified items, then, the batch of samples shall be determined as
disqualified.
