Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard was proposed by China Light Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Spice Essence Cosmetics of Standardization Administration of China
(SAC/TC 257).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test
methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging, transport, storage, shelf life
of hair shampoo, cream shampoo.
This Standard is applicable to hair shampoo, cream shampoo products that are
formulated with surfactant as the main active ingredient, with the function of
cleaning human scalp and hair and maintaining its beauty.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 effective matter content
The content that the total solid content of the product is free of the content of
inorganic salts of ethanol insoluble matter and chloride (calculated in sodium
chloride) in ethanol soluble matter.
4 Classification
According to the shape of the product, it can be divided into two types. hair
shampoo and cream shampoo.
5 Requirements
5.1 Raw materials
The raw materials used shall meet the requirements of the Cosmetic Hygienic
Specification. The flavor used shall meet the requirements of GB/T 22731.The
primary biodegradation degree of the anionic surfactant used in the product
formula shall not be less than 90%.
5.2 Sensory, physical-chemical, hygienic indicators
Sensory, physical-chemical, hygienic indicators shall meet the requirements in
Table 1.

In accordance with QB/T 1685.
6 Test methods
6.1 Sensory indicators
6.1.1 Appearance, color
Take a sample and visually observe it at room temperature and under non-direct
sunlight.
6.2 Physical-chemical indicators
6.2.1 Heat-resistance (hair shampoo)
6.2.2 Heat-resistance (cream shampoo)
6.2.2.1 Instruments
Constant temperature incubator. temperature control accuracy is ±1°C.
6.2.2.2 Operating procedures
Pre-adjust the constant temperature incubator to 40°C. Place a bottle of fully
packaged sample in the constant temperature incubator. Take it out after 24h.
Visually observe it, after it is recovered to room temperature.
6.2.3 Cold resistance (hair shampoo)
6.2.4 Cold resistance (cream shampoo)
6.2.4.1 Instruments
Refrigerator (cabinet). temperature control accuracy is ±2°C.
6.2.4.2 Operating procedures
Pre-adjust the refrigerator to -8°C, the specified temperature. Place a bottle of
the fully packaged sample in the refrigerator. Take it out after 24h. Visually
observe it, after it is recovered to room temperature.
6.2.5 pH
Determine according to the specified method (dilution method) in GB/T 13531.1.
6.2.6 Foam (hair shampoo)
6.2.6.1 Instruments
The instruments include.
6.2.6.2 Reagents
1500mg/kg hard-water. Weigh 3.7g of anhydrous magnesium sulfate (MgSO4)
and 5.0g of anhydrous calcium chloride (CaCl2). Completely dissolve them in
5000mL of distilled water.
6.2.6.3 Operating procedures
Pre-heat the super thermostat to (40±1)°C to maintain the Roche foam
instrument at a constant temperature of (40±1)°C.
6.2.6.4 Precision
The absolute difference between two independent test results obtained under
repeatability conditions is not greater than 5mm.
6.2.7 Foam (cream shampoo)
Determine according to the determination for detergent foaming power (Ross-
Miles Method) in GB/T 13173.Read the starting foam height.
Mass concentration of test solution. 2%.
6.2.8 Effective matter content (hair shampoo)
6.2.8.1 Total solids
6.2.8.2 Inorganic salt (ethanol insoluble matter)
6.2.8.2.1 Instruments
The instruments include.

6.2.8.2.3 Operating procedures
Use the sample dried in 6.2.8.1.2.Add 100mL of 95% neutral ethanol. Heat in
the water bath till slightly boiling. Take it out. Slightly stir to make the sample
dissolved as possible.
6.2.8.2.4 Results expression
Calculate the inorganic salt content, X2, according to formula (2), in %.
6.3 Hygienic indicators
Inspect according to the method specified in the Cosmetic Hygienic
Specification.
6.4 Net weight
Determine according to the method specified in JJF 1070.
6.5 Packaging appearance
In accordance with QB/T 1685.
7 Inspection rules
In accordance with QB/T 1684.
8 Marks, packaging, transport, storage, shelf life
8.1 Marks of sale packaging
In accordance with GB 5296.3.
8.2 Packaging
In accordance with QB/T 1685.
8.5 Shelf life
In accordance with the transport and storage conditions of this Standard, if the
packaging is in complete and unopened, then the shelf life shall be
implemented according to the mark of sales packaging.
