The main technical differences between this Standard and GB/T 17810-1999 are as follows. - REVISE GB/T 6678 in normative references to GB/T 14699.1; - REVISE 3.1 in previous standard to "Appearance and characters - White or light gray powder or flaky crystals. It is slightly-soluble in water. It is extreme-slightly-soluble in ethanol. It is slightly-soluble in diluted acid and sodium hydroxide (potassium) solutions"; - Tolerance in 4.1.5 of previous standard is adjusted from “absolute differences of two parallel determination results shall not be greater than 0.1%” to “absolute differences of two parallel determination results shall not be greater than 0.3%”; - ADD the product identification methods (ion exchange chromatography); - MODIFY the determination methods of heavy metals; - MODIFY the arsenic determination methods; - ADD "factory-exit inspection" and "type inspection" in inspection rules. This Standard was proposed by and shall be centralized by National Standardization Technical Committee of Feed Industry. This Standard was drafted by Feed Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Main drafters of this Standard. Fan Zhiying, Liu Qingsheng, Ma Shuyu, Tian Yuan, Shi Dongdong. The previous version replaced by this Standard is. - GB/T 17810-1999. Feed grade DL-methionine1 ScopeThis Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, storage, and transportation of feed grade DL-methionine products. This Standard applies to the feed grade DL-methionine that uses methylthiopropanal, cyanide, sulfuric acid, and sodium hydroxide as main raw materials. Chemical name. 2-amino-4-methylthio butyric acid Chemical formula. CH3S-CH2-CH2-CH (NH2) -COOH Relative molecular mass. 149.2 (according to Year-2007 international relative atomic mass)2 Normative referencesThe provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard. However, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies. It is slightly-soluble in water. It is extreme-slightly-soluble in ethanol. It is slightly-soluble in diluted acid and sodium hydroxide (potassium) solutions.4 Test methodsThe reagents and the water used in this Standard, except those particularly indicated, refer to the analytical reagents and grade 3 water that is complied with the specifications in GB/T 6682.Instruments and equipment are general laboratory instruments and equipment. 4.1 Appearance and characters Appearance and character assessment shall meet the requirements of 3.1. 4.2 Identification 4.2.1 Reagents and solutions 4.2.1.1 Saturated anhydrous copper sulfate sulfuric acid solution. TAKE anhydrous copper sulfate. Add to concentrated sulfuric acid. STIR until precipitation occurs. 4.2.1.7 Ninhydrin solution. PREPARE according to the instructions of amino acid automatic analyzer. 4.2.1.8 Methionine standard stock solution c(methionine) = 2.50 μmol / mL. WEIGH 93.3 mg of methionine in a 100-mL beaker. ADD about 50 mL of water and several drops of concentrated hydrochloric acid to dissolve. TRANSFER quantitatively to a 250-mL volumetric flask. USE water to dissolve and FIX the volume. 4.2.2 Instruments Amino acid automatic analyzer. Ninhydrin post-column derivatization ion-exchange chromatography. It requires that the resolution of each amino acid shall be greater than 90%. 4.2.3 Identification steps 4.2.3.1 WEIGH 25 mg of samples. ADD 1 mL of saturated anhydrous copper sulfate sulfuric acid solution (4.2.1.1). The liquid is yellow. 4.3 Determination of DL-methionine content 4.3.1 Principle ADD excessive iodine solution accurately into neutral medium. ADD 2 iodine atoms to the sulfur atoms of methionine. USE sodium thiosulfate standard titration solution to re-titrated the excessive iodine solution. 4.3.2 Reagents and solutions 4.3.2.1 Potassium phosphate dibasic solution. 500 g / L. 4.3.2.6 Starch solution. 10 g / L. 4.3.3 Instruments 4.3.3.1 Analytical balance. The sensitivity is 0.1 mg. 4.3.3.2 Magnetic stirrer. 4.3.4 Analysis steps WEIGH 0.23 g ~ 0.25 g of sample (accurate to 0.000 1 g). PUT into a 500-mL iodine flask. ADD 70 mL of deionized water. Then ADD the following reagents respectively. 10 mL of potassium phosphate dibasic solution (4.3.2.1), 10 mL of potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution (4.3.2.2), 10 mL of potassium iodide solution (4.3.2.3). After they are all dissolved, ADD 50.00 mL of iodine solution (4.3.2.4) accurately. 4.3.5 Calculation of the results Methionine content X1 is calculated according to the formula (1). In the formula. 4.4 Determination of loss on drying 4.4.1 Principle DRY the samples in a (105 ± 2) °C oven under atmospheric pressure to constant WEIGH. 4.4.2 Analysis steps WEIGH about 10 g of samples (accurate to 0.000 2g) by a weighing dish which has been constant-weight. PLACE in a 105 °C oven to dry for 3 h. Then TAKE them out. And PUT in a dryer to cool for 30 min. Then WEIGH it. DRY for 1 h in the same way, then WEIGH it, until the difference of mass between 2 weighings is less than 0.002 g. 4.5 Determination of chloride content 4.5.1 Principle After samples are dissolved, ADD nitric acid and silver nitrate to react with chloride to form silver chloride turbid solution. COMPARE with standard hue. 4.5.2 Reagents and solutions 4.5.3 Analysis steps 4.6 Determination of heavy metals 4.6.1 Principle After the samples are dissolved, heavy metals react with sodium sulfide to form brown sulfide under the test conditions. COMPARE with comparison solution under the same conditions. 4.6.2 Reagents and solutions 4.6.2.1 Sodium hydroxide solution. 43 g / L. 4.6.2.2 Sodium sulfide solution. 100 g / L.5 Inspection rules5.1 Products shall be inspected by quality inspection department of the manufacturer. The manufacturer shall ensure that all products exiting factory shall meet the requirements of Chapter 3 of this Standard. And accompany with quality certificates in certain format. 5.2 The products produced and packaged by the same batch of raw materials, by the same shift, with the same process condition, same batch number, same specification, and same quality certificates are deemed as a batch. 5.4 Factory-exit inspection. Each batch of products shall be conducted for factory-exit inspection when exiting the factory. The inspection items are sensory index, loss on drying, and DL-methionine content. 5.5 Type inspection. Type inspection shall be conducted once every 6 months. Type inspection items include all the requirements specified in Chapter 3 of this Standard. When there is 1 of the following situations, it shall conduct type inspection for the product quality. 5.6 Judgment rules. The products of which all inspection results meet the requirements of Chapter 3 of this Standard are judged as qualified. When there is 1 indicator not meeting the requirements of this Standard, it shall be re-sampled for re-inspection. It is judged as unqualified when there is 1 item in re-inspection result not complying with this Standard.6 Labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage6.1 The content of labels shall comply with the specification of GB 10648. 6.2 The products are packaged in bags. The packaging bags are divided into 3 layers 6.3 The products shall be prevented from rain, moisture, and sunlight during transportation.
