1 Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for motor vehicles’ hood latch system. This standard applies to category M and category N automobiles.

3 Terms and definitions

3.1 Hood All outward-movable body panels in front of the windshield, which are used to cover the engine, luggage, storage, or batteries.
