This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
Instead of the standard YS/T 428-2000 "niobium pentoxide."
Compared with this standard YS/T 428-2000, the main changes are as follows.
--- FNb2O5-1 grades impurity element specified by the 12 kinds increased to 20 kinds;
--- FNb2O5-2 grades impurity element specified by the 12 kinds increased to 20 kinds;
--- FNb2O5-3 grades impurity element specified by the 14 kinds increased to 18 kinds;
--- Increased detection method Nb2O5 powder Fisher particle size.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the niobium pentoxide requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and contract
(Or orders) content.
This standard applies to liquid - liquid extraction method were niobium pentoxide, niobium powder for the production of superconducting materials, alloying additives, niobium and niobium carbide article,
Ceramic capacitors and other purposes.

3 Requirements
3.1 Categories
Product chemical composition is divided into three grades. FNb2O5-1, FNb2O5-2, FNb2O5-3.
3.2 Chemical composition
Product impurity element should be in accordance with Table 1, Nb2O5 content of 100% minus the impurities listed in Table 1, the measured content.
3.3 Physical properties
The supplier shall demand side requirements to provide products Fisher particle size, bulk density, specific surface area value. Particle size less than 180μm.
3.4 appearance quality
Product is white powder, no visual visible inclusions.
3.5 Other
When the demand side, such products have special requirements, both parties determined by supply and demand.
