1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the qualitative determination of UV diffuse reflectance spectra of natural colored cotton fibers.
This standard applies to the qualitative identification of single-component natural green cotton and natural brown cotton and dyed cotton fibers.

Natural colored cotton naturalcolored cottonon
When mature, it has green, brown and other colors of cotton fibers.
4 Principle
Natural colored cotton fibers contain natural pigments. These pigments are composed of a series of organic compounds with similar structural properties.

5 Equipment
Ultraviolet spectrophotometer. with an integrating sphere attachment, the spectral range is not less than.200nm~900nm.
6 sampling
Take appropriate amount of fiber sample to cover the sample trough evenly, hand-pull, open, mix thoroughly and arrange the fibers into straight parallel bundles.
7 sample pretreatment method
General samples do not need to be pretreated. If non-fibrous substances such as grease, wax and other impurities are mixed in the sample, press GB/T 2910.1.
