1 Scope
This part of SN/T 4271 specifies the collection requirements, procedures, specimen preparation and preservation of imported mosquitoes carried on international voyages.
This section applies to the collection of imported mosquitoes carried by ships on international voyages.

3 requirements
3.1 Personnel requirements

--- On-site collection personnel should understand the basic knowledge of the ship structure and mosquito morphology and ecological habits, and the relevant skills of specimen collection.

--- When collecting mosquito specimens on international navigation vessels from mosquito-borne disease-affected areas, personal protection should be done to prevent being infected by bites;
--- Smoking and mosquito repellent are prohibited during the collection process;
--- Wear protective glasses and protective gloves when opening the liquid nitrogen storage tank and placing or removing the specimen into the tank to prevent contact with liquid nitrogen.

3.3 International Navigation Ship Requirements

--- should be an inbound international voyage ship;
--- Should be parked at the quarantine anchorage for inspection, the anchorage distance from the land is not less than 1000m;
--- The boarding inspection should be carried out as soon as possible after the arrival of the inbound international voyage, no later than 24h;
--- It should be accompanied by the ship's personnel during the day to check and collect, and when the mosquitoes are found, they should be photographed for evidence;
--- After the completion of the collection, the record form should be completed in time, signed by the captain and stamped with the ship seal.
