1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of divinylbenzene in polystyrene plastic bags for food packaging by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
This standard applies to the determination of the total amount of divinylbenzene in polystyrene.
The detection limit of this standard is 0.2mg/kg.

3 reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, all reagents are of analytical grade.
3.1 dichloromethane.
3.2 Methanol.
3.3 divinylbenzene. purity ≥ 80%.
3.4 n-hexadecane. purity ≥ 98.5%.
3.5 divinylbenzene standard stock solution. accurately weighed the amount of divinyl benzene standard material (3.3) (accurate to 0.1mg), with dichloromethane
(3.1) formulated as 10.0 mg/L standard stock solution 1).

3.6 n-Hexadecane standard stock solution. accurately weighed the appropriate amount of n-hexadecane standard material (3.4) (accurate to 0.1mg), with dichloromethane
(3.1) prepared into 10.0mg/L internal standard stock solution.
3.7 divinylbenzene standard solution. the use of divinyl benzene standard stock solution diluted to the required concentration.
3.8 n-Hexadecane standard solution. When used, dilute the n-hexadecane standard stock solution to the desired concentration.
