This standard is a revision of NY/T 140-1989 "Forage Alfalfa Powder" (converted from the original GB 10389-1989). Through trial and research
Research and typical investigations have carried out a more comprehensive verification and revision of NY/T 140, supplementing and refining from technical content to grading indicators.
The original three-tier system was changed to a four-tier system, and the quality indicator of carotene was added.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the quality index and classification of forage hay powder.
This standard is applicable to valerian powder which is made by using hydrazine as raw material, artificially dried or naturally dried, and then pulverized.

3 sensory traits
3.1 Shape. powder, no agglomeration.
3.2 Color. Dark green, green or light green.
3.3 Odor. There is grassy fragrance and no odor.
3.4 Others. no fermentation, no mold, no deterioration.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Grass powder is used for alfalfa, flower buds or yellow buds harvested from the bud stage to the early flowering stage. It is artificially dried or naturally dried.
Made by pulverization.
4.2 Grass powder should not contain toxic and harmful substances, and must not be mixed with substances other than herbal powder. Add anti-oxidant, anti-mold agent, etc.
In the case of the agent, the ingredients and dosages added should be stated.
4.3 The particle size of grass powder is determined according to the method of GB/T 5917 according to the screening method.
4.4 The size of the grass powder is processed into coarse and fine grains according to the use. The coarse grass powder is mainly suitable for compressed granules, grass cakes and fine grass powder.
To be suitable for making a compound feed.
4.5 Grass powder should meet the requirements of GB 13078.
