| Summary | This standard specifies the method for the determination of total oxygen content in gasoline, diesel and methanol fuels by the reduction cracking method. This standard is applicable to the determination of gasoline with oxygen mass fraction ranging from 1.0% to 5.0%, diesel fuel samples with oxygen mass fraction ranging from 1.0% to 10%, and methanol fuel samples with oxygen mass fraction ranging from 40% to 50%. Gasoline can contain one or more of the following oxygen-containing compounds: isobutanol, n-butanol, sec-butanol, tert-butanol, diisopropyl ether, ethanol, ethyl tert-butyl ether, methanol, methyl tert-butyl Base ether, n-propanol, isopropanol, tert-amyl methyl ether. Diesel fuel may include one or more of the following oxygen-containing compounds: glycerol, methanol, glycerol monooleate, glycerol trioleate, and methyl oleate. However, this standard does not examine the precision of the determination of total oxygen content in diesel oil. This standard package |
