| Summary | This standard specifies the requirements for the objects, technical processes and work procedures, work plan preparation, remote sensing data acquisition, indicator extraction, indicator analysis and results archiving of remote sensing surveys of biodiversity (terrestrial ecosystems). This standard applies to the use of satellite remote sensing, aerial remote sensing, and ground remote sensing technologies at the regional level (sensors include but are not limited to: multispectral/hyperspectral imagers, high-resolution cameras, fluorescence detection sensors, thermal infrared cameras, lidar, synthetic aperture radar etc.) to carry out remote sensing surveys of biodiversity within the land area. The areas referred to include priority areas for biodiversity conservation, nature reserves, administrative areas and other areas with similar needs; the biodiversity indicators involved are mainly ecosystems, important species and related habitats, and do not involve genetic diversity. |
