1.Technical rules for selection of mink
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for breeding marten, selection standards, selection methods, and establishment of a breeding marten file.
This standard applies to mink in captivity.

3 terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Mink
Carnivora, Mustela, Mustela, Mink subgenus.
3.2
Breeding selection
The process of selecting good mink individuals for seeding and eliminating bad individuals.
Basic requirements for 4 types of marten
4.1 Body appearance
The head is contoured and the face is short and wide. Large, well-built, slender and well-proportioned. The limbs are short and stout, with five toes on the front and back. Thick tail
Conical. Male mink testes develop normally, and female minks have more nipples, develop well, and are evenly distributed.
4.2 Plush quality
4.2.1 Fur color
With the color characteristics of this breed type.
4.2.2 Hair quality
The needle hairs are flexible, short, flat, uniform, fine, and dense; the hairs are thick and thick; the needles and hairs are evenly distributed. Fluffy tail hairs. The coat has a high gloss.
4.3 Reproductive performance
24.3.1 Male Marten
The male marten has early estrus, mating more than 15 times in a breeding season, and the fertilization rate of the female marten exceeds 85%.

4.3.2 Female Marten
The number of fetuses born to female minks is more than 6, and the number of litters to survive is more than 4.
4.4 Growth performance
The measurement method is implemented according to DB22/T 2329-2015. At the final election, the male mink weighed more than 2500 grams and the body length was more than 45 cm; the female mink body
Weighing more than 1250 grams, body length is more than 38 cm; male and female ferrets moult early.
4.5 Pedigree
The source is clear and the pedigree is clear.
5 Selection criteria
The selection standards for mink breeds are implemented in accordance with the requirements of Appendix A.1 and Appendix A.2.
6 Selection methods
It is divided into three stages. primary election, multiple election and final election. The mink must be a healthy mink that tested negative for Aleutian virus.
6.1 Primary election
The juveniles are separated from June to July. The female mink and the adult male mink are selected according to the pros and cons of their reproductive performance, and the young mink is based on the growth and development.
Choose to stay fast. The number of seeds to be retained should be 50% more than the number of final selection plans.
6.2 Check
From late September to early October. Adult mink is selected according to the speed of physical recovery and moulting sooner or later. Young mink is based on growth and development.
Sooner or later choose to stay. The number of seeds to be retained should be 20% more than the number of final selection plans.
6.3 Final election
From late November to late December. Select and stay in accordance with the number of plans according to the selection criteria.
7 Create a breeding marten file
7.1 Pedigree files
The pedigree pedigree file includes male and female sable registration cards, see Appendix B.1 and Appendix B.2.
7.2 Reproduction records
Mink breeding records are registered according to Appendix C.1, and litter records are registered according to Appendix C.2.
