This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 “Directives for standardization - Part 1.Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents”. This document replaces GB/T 93-1987 “Single coil spring lock washers - Normal type”. Compared with GB/T 93-1987, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows. a) ADD the specification of 1.6, and MODIFY certain d dimensions (see Table 1 of this document; Clause 3 of the 1987 edition); b) ADD a table of technical requirements and referenced standards (see Table 2 of this document); c) ADD the passivation requirements for stainless steel washers (see Table 2 of this document); d) ADD “If other technical requirements or surface treatments are required, they shall be agreed upon between the supplier and the purchaser.” (see Table 2 of this document); e) ADD the requirements for marking and labeling (see Clause 6 of this document). Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. The issuing authority of this document shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. This document specifies the type, dimensions, technical requirements, marking, labeling, and designation of normal type single coil spring lock washers. This document applies to normal type single coil spring lock washers (hereinafter referred to as “washers”) with specifications ranging from 1.6 mm to 48 mm. NOTE. When the single coil spring lock washers specified in this document are used in conjunction with grade 10.9 or grade 12.9 bolts and screws, attention shall be paid to the phenomenon of spring washer expansion.2 Normative references
