Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 9015-1998 "Industrial Hexamethylenetetramine". Compared with GB/T 9015-1998, the main differences are structural adjustments and revisions.
Aside from the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Change the product grading system to a classification system (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the.1998 edition);
b) The indicators for appearance, purity, moisture, and residue on ignition have been changed (see Table 1,.1998 edition);
c) The method for determining moisture content without pyridine Karl Fischer reagent has been removed, and the method for determining moisture content by drying has been added (see 6.4.2,.1998).

d) The sample weight and ignition temperature for the determination of residue on ignition have been changed (see 6.5, 4.3 of the.1998 edition);
e) The methods for determining heavy metals, chlorides, sulfates, and ammonium salts have been revised (see 6.6–6.9, 4.5–4.8 of the.1998 edition);
f) The inspection rules have been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 5 of the.1998 edition);
g) Changes were made to the markings, packaging, transport, and storage (see Chapter 8, Chapter 6 of the.1998 edition).

1 Scope
This document provides the product classification for industrial hexamethylenetetramine, and specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage.
The document describes the corresponding experimental methods.
This document applies to industrial hexamethylenetetramine produced from ammonia and formaldehyde.
