This standard replaces GB/T 8609-1988 "fermentation industry with Sweet Potato Slices" and GB/T 8610-1988 "Sweet potato starch industry by piece."
This standard and GB/T 8609-1988, GB/T 8610-1988 compared to the main changes are as follows.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Sweet potato is processed into sheets or strips, and dried to a suitable storage products.
3.2
