Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
Drafting:
This document replaces GB/T 6803-2008 "Drop weight test method for non-plastic transition temperature of ferritic steels" and is consistent with GB/T 6803-2008
In comparison, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
---The test principle has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the:2008 edition);
---Changed the yield strength range and impact energy range of the drop weight test (see Table 3, Table 3 of the:2008 version);
---Added requirements for testing machine calibration (see 6:7):

Drop weight test method for non-plastic transition temperature of ferritic steels
1 Scope
This document specifies the principles, specimens, test equipment, test requirements, and test procedures of the non-plastic transition temperature drop weight test method for ferritic steels:
Procedure, test result evaluation and test report:
This document is suitable for determining the non-plastic transformation of ferritic steel products (including plates, profiles, cast steel and forged steel) with a thickness of not less than 12mm:
Change temperature:

The maximum temperature at which the specimen breaks when the drop weight test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of this method:
4 Principles
Each of a set of specimens of a given ferritic steel material is subjected to a single drop weight impact load at a selected temperature:
Make the sample produce a fixed deflection, and measure the maximum temperature when the sample breaks, that is, the no-plastic transition (NDT) temperature:

5:1 Sampling location and direction of specimens
5:1:1 When taking samples from steel plates or profiles, the sampling location and direction should be in accordance with relevant product standards or agreements; if there is no provision, the sampling location and direction should be in accordance with
According to the provisions of GB/T 2975, the cutting direction of the steel plate blank should be transverse: Unless otherwise specified, the specimens for drop weight specimens shall be taken from other mechanical
