Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 6733-1986 "Vaseline for Capacitors". Compared with GB/T 6733-1986, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes.
Aside from the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 1986 edition);
b) Product categories have been added (see Chapter 4);
c) The technical requirements and test methods for breakdown voltage have been added (see Table 1);
d) The technical requirements and test methods for volume resistivity have been revised (see Table 1, Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
e) Added technical requirements and test methods for color (see Table 1);
f) The technical requirements and test methods for appearance have been removed (see Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
g) The test method for dropping points has been changed (see Table 1, Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
h) The technical requirements and test methods for freeze point have been added (see Table 1);
i) The technical requirements and test methods for the molten state have been increased (see Table 1);
j) The technical requirements and test methods for kinematic viscosity have been removed (see Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
k) Added technical requirements and test methods for volume shrinkage rate (see Table 1);
l) The technical requirements and test methods for copper sheet corrosion have been added (see Table 1);
m) The technical requirements and test methods for mechanical impurities have been removed (see Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
n) Added technical requirements and test methods for flash point (open cup) (see Table 1);
o) The technical requirements and test methods for insulation strength have been removed (see Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
p) The technical requirements and test methods for the tangent of the medium loss angle have been removed (see Chapter 2 of the 1986 edition);
q) Sampling and batching methods have been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 4 of the 1986 edition);
r) Changes were made to the marking, packaging, transport, storage, and delivery acceptance (see Chapter 7, Chapter 3 of the 1986 edition).
