Foreword
GB/T 6730 "iron ore" is divided into dozens of parts.
This part is part 29 of GB/T 6730.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part of the GB/T 6730.29-1986 "iron ore chemical analysis method barium sulfate gravimetric determination of barium." This part with
GB/T 6730.29-1986 compared to the editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- the name changed to "iron ore barium content determination of barium sulfate weight method";
--- Added "warning" "normative reference document" "instrument" "test report" and so on;
--- Change the range to. 0.50% to 45.0%;
- adding hydrofluoric acid during the sample dissolution process, modifying the addition of acid and silicon removal;
Increase the ignition temperature and time of barium sulphate precipitation after adding potassium pyrophosphate to a large amount of rare earth, niobium and titanium.
--- carbonate filter to slow filter filter;
The inter-laboratory precision test was carried out, and the allowable difference was replaced by the statistical repeatability r and the reproducibility R.
This part is made by China Iron and Steel Industry Association.
This section is headed by the National Commission on Standardization of Iron Ore and Direct Reductive Iron (SAC/TC317).
This part of the drafting unit. Jiuquan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute.
The main drafters of this part. Zhu Weihua, Su Qun, Wang Linhu, Fu Baorong, Feng Lei, Zhang Xue, Chen Zhibin.
This part of the previous version of the standard to replace the release of the situation.
--- GB/T 6730.29-1986.
Iron ore - Determination of barium content - Barium sulfate gravimetric method

question. It is the responsibility of the user to take appropriate safety and health measures and to ensure compliance with the conditions set forth in the relevant national regulations.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 6730 specifies the method for the determination of barium content in barite by barium sulfate gravimetric method.
This part is applicable to the determination of barium content in iron ore, iron concentrate, sinter and pellet. Measurement range (mass fraction). 0.50% ~
45.0%.

3 principle
The sample is decomposed with hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid, and barium sulfate is precipitated in the presence of sulfuric acid, separated from most of the interfering elements.
Potassium pyrophosphate melting, dilute sulfuric acid leaching, so that barium sulfate and barium sulfate precipitation and rare earth acid insoluble matter separation; with sodium carbonate - potassium carbonate melting sulfur
Barium sulfate precipitation barium carbonate precipitation, dissolved in hydrochloric acid after the lead strontium separation and barium secondary precipitation. When the lead in the sample is greater than 0.05%,
Hydrogen sulfide lead sulfide and barium separation; when the strontium is greater than 0.02%, the use of chromate barium barium chromate and strontium separation, barium high when the need for chromic acid
Barium is converted to barium carbonate to separate chrome. In the hydrochloric acid medium, adding sulfuric acid to barium barium sulfate precipitation, filtration, washing, ashing, at 800 ℃
Burning to constant weight, weighing and calculating the barium content of the sample.
4 Reagents and Materials
Unless otherwise stated, only the reagents identified as analytical reagents and those of Class 3 and Grade 3 in accordance with GB/T 6682 are used in the analysis.
Water or deionized water or water equivalent to its purity.
4.1 mixed flux, 1 part of anhydrous sodium carbonate and 1 part of potassium carbonate grinding and mixing.
4.2 anhydrous sodium carbonate.
4.3 potassium pyrophosphate.
