Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document supersedes GB/T 5375-2006 "Methods for Compiling Model Numbers of Motorcycles and Mopeds" and is consistent with GB/T 5375-2006. Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows. a) The scope of application has been changed to include the model designation method for electric and hybrid (electric) motorcycles and mopeds (see [link]). Chapter 1 (Chapter 1 of the.2006 edition); b) The definition of the term "specification code" has been changed (see 3.3,.2006 edition), and the terms "power characteristic code" and "dedicated" have been added. "Three-wheeled motorcycle" and its definition (see 3.4, 3.8); c) The model designation for motorcycles and mopeds has been changed, and the position of the vehicle power characteristic code has been added (see 4.1,.2006 edition). Chapter 4); d) The regulations for enterprise (or trademark) codes have been changed, no longer distinguishing between enterprise types (see 4.2, 4.1 of the.2006 version); e) Increased requirements for the continuous power selection of electric motors for electric motorcycles (see 4.3.3); f) Added regulations for the selection of vehicle dynamic characteristic codes (see 4.4); g) The regulations for motorcycle type designations have been expanded to include two front wheels symmetrically distributed with the rear wheel (see Table 4); h) Added regulations for police vehicle type codes (see 4.5.3); i) Added a provision to the "Type Code" section allowing for customizable model codes for dedicated three-wheeled motorcycles, providing specific guidelines for dedicated three-wheeled motorcycles. 1 Scope

This document specifies the method for designating model numbers for motorcycles and mopeds. This document applies to the model designation of motorcycles and mopeds as specified in GB/T 5359.1.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5359.1 and QC/T 792, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document. 3.1 To identify a vehicle, a number consisting of a set of uppercase Chinese Pinyin letters, Arabic numerals, and uppercase English letters is assigned. 3.2 A code indicating the name of a company (or trademark). 3.3 Specification code This is a code indicating the nominal displacement of a vehicle's engine or the continuous power of its drive motor. 3.4 A code indicating the characteristics of the vehicle's drive unit. 3.5 Type code of type The code indicating the vehicle's category. 3.6 This indicates the design sequence of basic vehicle models with the same enterprise (or trademark) code, specification code, and type code.
