The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12728 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Hypha
The structural unit of filamentous fungi.
Note. Composed of tubular cells, multinucleated, septate, and forming the building blocks of mycelium.

mycelium
An aggregate of hyphae.

rhizomorph
Rope-like structures formed by the aggregation of hyphae in certain fungi.

Antagonism
The phenomenon of colonies with different genetic makeup inhibiting each other, resulting in non-growing zones or forming different forms of linear edges.
