1 Scope

This document specifies the product grades, requirements, inspection rules, Marking and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage, and the corresponding test methods for BIIR technical indicators are described. This document applies to isobutylene-isoprene copolymers prepared by low-temperature copolymerization using isobutylene and isoprene as the main raw materials and methyl chloride as the solvent. The butyl rubber is then brominated to obtain bromobutyl rubber.
