An amorphous silicate-based solid composed of the elements calcium, phosphorus, silicon and oxygen that is biologically active (3.1).
Note. Calcium phosphosilicate releases ions when it comes into contact with saliva, forming hydroxyapatite or carbonated hydroxyapatite. The shorter the formation time, the more complete the structure and the more biologically active it is.
