1 Scope
This document provides information on different scenarios for seed introduction and pest risk analysis approaches, pest management in seed production, plant quarantine,
phytosanitary measures, equivalence of phytosanitary measures, seed inspection, sampling and testing for phytosanitary certification or verification, export and re-export of seeds
Guidance on quarantine certification and record keeping.
This document applies to seeds (as commodities) shipped internationally and to viable samples imported for laboratory testing or destructive analysis.
Pest risk management of seeds.
This document does not apply to the import and export of seeds (as commodities) and food or plant vegetative bodies (such as potato tubers) for consumption.
