General requirements for IPv6 address allocation and encoding rules
1 Scope
This document specifies the rules for allocating and encoding IPv6 addresses used in China.
This document applies to the allocation and coding of all IPv6 addresses used in China, including addresses applied for from domestic address allocation agencies.
The allocation and coding of addresses and addresses applied for from international organizations with IP address management rights.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
IPv6 addressIPv6address
A 128-bit identifier used to identify an IPv6 network interface or a group of IPv6 network interfaces.
3.2
node
A device that uses IPv6.
3.3
link
A connection from one node to an adjacent node without any other routing forwarding nodes in between.
3.4
interface
The connection between a node and a link.

virtualinterface
An interface established through configuration that enables data exchange functions.
3.6
Site
A collection of nodes, links, etc., with an independent global routing prefix.
