1 Scope
This document provides the working procedures, work plan preparation, ecological restoration monitoring and effect evaluation of marine oil spill pollution.
Technical guidelines for analysis and evaluation of ecological restoration effectiveness.
This document applies to the ecological restoration monitoring and effect evaluation of marine oil spill pollution occurring within the waters under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Through artificial auxiliary measures such as physical, chemical and biological treatment methods, the damaged environment and ecosystem structure and function caused by oil spill pollution can be repaired.
It can be restored to a state close to that before the oil spill occurred.
3.2
The natural ecosystem formed by the interaction between the biological community in a certain sea area and the surrounding environment has relatively stable functions and can self-regulate.
An important ecological unit for control.
Note. Mainly includes mangroves, salt marshes, coral reefs, seagrass beds, oyster reefs, sandy coasts, etc.
