1 Scope

This document establishes the product classification of frozen breaded squid products and specifies the requirements for raw materials, processing water, sensory, physical and chemical indicators and net content. It describes the requirements and the corresponding test methods, and also stipulates the inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage. This document applies to the processing and sale of frozen breaded squid products.

4 Product Categories

4.1 Frozen Breaded Squid Fresh or frozen squids of the Loliginidae and Ommastrephidae families are used as the main raw materials, and are pre-processed, seasoned or Non-ready-to-eat frozen products made without seasoning, battering or not, breading (bran) or not, deep-fried or not, quick-frozen, etc. Breaded squid should not contain frozen surimi or fresh frozen fish, shrimp, shellfish or other animal aquatic products. 4.2 Frozen Breaded Composite Squid Fresh or frozen squids of the Loliginidae and Ommastrephidae families are used as raw materials.
