Sea level change observation and impact assessment
1 Scope
This document specifies the main technologies and methods for sea level change observation and impact assessment, as well as the application of results.
This document is applicable to on-site observations of sea level changes in coastal areas and assessments of the possible impacts of sea level changes, risk assessments, etc.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15920, GB/T 23694 and GB/T 26376 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
sea level
The average height of the sea surface after eliminating various disturbances.
3.2
sea level change observation
The long-term, continuous and stable observation of tide level by setting up observation stations on the shore or offshore facilities is calculated by
The average value of tide level gives sea level change data.
4 Sea level change observations
4.1 Observation sites
Sea level change observation sites should be located in areas with smooth access to the open sea, stable water flow, less prone to siltation, and less affected by waves.
The water depth should be greater than 1 m at the theoretical lowest tide level.
Sea level observation stations should be appropriately increased in densely populated coastal areas.
