Salmonella pullorum purification procedures in breeder farms
1 Scope
This document establishes the procedures for purification of Salmonella pullorum in breeder farms, and stipulates the biosecurity measures for eliminating pullorum-positive chickens and purifying chicken flocks, etc.
Operating instructions for each stage, describing methods for evaluating purification effectiveness.
This document is applicable to the purification of Salmonella pullorum in breeder farms.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Large-scale farms that raise great-grandparent, grandparent or parent breeder chickens.

Pullorum pulorumdisease
An infectious disease caused by Salmonella pullorum, characterized by diarrhea and septicemia in chicks and latent infection in adult chickens.
