1 Scope

This document specifies the general technical requirements for the manufacture of metal structural marine cranes: This document applies to the following types of marine cranes: --- Deck cranes installed on ships for loading and unloading cargo or containers in port conditions; --- Floating cranes or grab cranes installed on barges or barges for operation in port conditions; --- Engine room cranes or material cranes installed on ships (including floating docks) for lifting equipment or materials under port conditions: Note: Other types of marine cranes can be implemented by reference: This document does not apply to marine cranes operating under the following conditions: ---Working temperature is lower than -20℃; ---The working temperature is higher than 45℃; --- Lifting operation under the sea surface; --- Combined lifting operation of multiple cranes; ---Emergency rescue operations; --- Shore-based cargo handling cranes; --- Used for lifting lifeboats, life rafts, accommodation ladders, pilot ladders, walkways and their operating devices; ---Launching of life rafts and rescue boats:
