Process specification for main pipe forgings of the third generation nuclear power plant
1 Scope
This document specifies the process flow and process compilation specifications for the third-generation nuclear power plant main pipe blank forgings (hereinafter referred to as "forgings").
This document is suitable for the main section size (including the diameter of the main pipe and the height of the nozzle) in the 250mm~2000mm, and the length size in the 1500mm~
10000mm austenitic stainless steel forgings of the third-generation nuclear power plant main pipeline.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 8541 apply to this document.
3.1
Primarydeformationheat
Deformation times of upsetting or stretching for the purpose of forging and compacting.
3.2
Blankdividing
Properly distribute the blanks to suit the process steps of the cross-sectional area and shape of the forging.
4 Process flow
According to the shape of the forging, it is divided into two structural forms with nozzle and without nozzle. The typical structure is shown in Figure 1.The forging process is as follows.
a) Forgings with nozzles. pressing jaws, spheronization, upsetting, drawing, blanking, pre-forming of nozzle materials, and final forging forming;
b) Forgings without nozzles. pressing jaws, rounding, upsetting, drawing, blanking, and final forging forming.
Note 1.Upsetting and drawing can be performed many times in the process flow of forgings with nozzles. The pressing jaws, rounding and upsetting steps in the process flow of forgings without nozzles can be based on actual conditions.
Choose whether to implement the actual situation.
Note 2.The billet making steps in the process flow can be made into solid forging billets or hollow forging billets according to the different forging process methods adopted by various manufacturers.
