1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, signs and instructions for hand-held electronic vision aids.
This standard applies to handheld electronic vision aids used by people with low vision.
This standard does not apply to optical visual aids, desktop, portable and head-mounted electronic visual aids.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Electro-opticallow-visiondevice
A device used by people with low vision through electronic imaging methods.

3.2
An electronic vision aid that can be held and used by people with low vision.
Note. The display screen is integrated with the camera or image acquisition system in the same device, without the stage component.
3.3
Display mode displaymode
The color combination mode that the handheld electronic vision aid can provide.
3.4
Working distance freeworkingdistance
Under a certain magnification, the allowable distance between the camera or image acquisition system of the handheld electronic vision aid and the plane where the object is located.
3.5
Maximumvisiblearea
Under the specified conditions of use, when the vision aid is at the minimum magnification and maximum working distance position, the maximum distance that can be seen through the vision aid
