Seawater cooling water discharge requirements
1 Scope
This standard specifies the control requirements, monitoring requirements and result determination methods for seawater cooling water discharge.
This standard is applicable to enterprises that discharge seawater cooling water to sea areas or estuaries (the annual probability of salinity greater than 0.5% is greater than 10%).
The environmental impact assessment, design of environmental protection facilities and environmental protection acceptance of completed construction of seawater cooling engineering can be used as reference.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Seawater cooling water
In the seawater cooling system, seawater is used as the heat exchange medium.
Note. Including sea water through cooling water and sea water circulating cooling water.
3.2
Seawater DC cooling water
In the seawater once-through cooling system, seawater is directly discharged after a heat exchange is completed by heat exchange equipment.
3.3
Sea water circulating cooling water
In the seawater circulating cooling system, after one heat exchange is completed by the heat exchange equipment, the seawater is cooled by the cooling tower and recycled.
