3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 32267, GB/T 13966, JJF 1528 apply to this document.
3.1
Resolution resolution
The ability of the instrument to distinguish between two adjacent mass spectral peaks.
Note. There are two calculation methods.
---Bimodal method. select two adjacent peaks for calculation;
---Single peak method. Calculate using a single peak.
3.2
Sensitivity sensitivity
The response of the instrument to a sample of concentration at a certain mass peak produced by the selected compound under specified conditions. General use
The signal-to-noise ratio at a given concentration characterizes the sensitivity, and the signal-to-noise ratio is the ratio of the signal strength of the sample to the noise intensity.
3.3
Mass range massrange
The range of mass-to-charge ratios of ions that can be measured under normal conditions.
3.4
Linear range
The concentration range in which the response value is linear with the concentration of the analyte.
3.5
Mass stability massstability
The change in mass spectrometer versus ion mass-to-charge ratio measurements over time.
