Specification for performance test of surface condenser
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic principles and methods of instrument selection, test procedures and test data processing for surface condenser performance tests.
This standard applies to the performance test of water-cooled and surface condensers operating under vacuum.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Condenserpressure
The absolute static pressure maintained at the steam channel 300mm above the first row of condenser tubes in the condenser shell.
3.2
Condenserheatload
The heat transferred from steam to cooling water in the condenser per unit time.
3.3
Overall heat transfer coefficient
After considering the comprehensive factors, the heat transfer of the condenser per unit time, unit surface area, and unit temperature difference.
3.4
Cleanlinessfactor
Under the same operating conditions, the ratio of the heat transfer coefficient of the old condenser tube to the new tube or clean tube.
3.5
Condensate subcooling
The difference between the saturation temperature of steam and the temperature of condensed water under condenser pressure.
3.6
Dissolved oxygen in the condensate
The amount of dissolved oxygen per unit in condensate.
3.7
Condensercirculatingwaterpressurelosses
The difference between the static pressure at the inlet and outlet of the cooling water.
