Marine engineering ship high speed shafting design requirements
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture, installation, inspection and testing of high-speed shafting of marine engineering vessels.
This standard is applicable to the high-speed shafting of ships of marine engineering vessels with pitch-controlled paddles and full-rotary rudder propellers as the main thrusters. For other ships
The high-speed shaft system can also be used as reference.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this article.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
High speed shafting highspeedshafting
Located between the prime mover and the gearbox, it does not withstand the thrust generated by the propeller, and the shaft segment with a speed of not less than 400r/min and its
annex.
3.2
Thrust shafting
A shaft section and its accessories that are placed between the gearbox and the propeller while receiving the thrust generated by the propeller.
3.3
Full-rotation rudder propeller device azimuththruster
A propulsion device capable of rotating 360° around a rotation axis and capable of transmitting thrust at an arbitrary angle while having the function of a rudder.
3.4
High-speed zigzag shaft flexuousshafting
The centerline of the shafting is not on the same axis and is the high-speed shaft of the fold line.
3.5
Linear shafting
The centerline of the shafting system is on the same axis and is a linear high-speed shaft system.
4 General requirements
4.1 In the range of main engine operating conditions, the high speed shafting should have sufficient strength and rigidity, stable and reliable.
4.2 In the range of main engine operating conditions, the torsional resonance and lateral and longitudinal resonance should not occur in the high speed shafting.
4.3 The high speed shafting should have good deformation adaptability to the ship.
4.4 One or more flexible couplings shall be designed for high speed shafting.
