1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, random documents, packaging, transportation and storage of hot air balloons. Claim. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Hot air balloon hot-airbaloon A manned balloon that generates lift by hot air. 3.2 Maximum mass The maximum takeoff quality of the specified hot air balloon. Note. Generally, the sum of the quality of the hot air balloon system (balloon, heating system, hanging basket), pilot, fuel, etc. 3.3 Limit load limitload The maximum load that may occur during use. Note. The limit load value is the maximum mass multiplied by the limit flight load factor, and the flight load factor is limited to not less than 1.4. 3.4 Ultimate load ultimateload Limit the product of the load and the safety factor.
