3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Ammonia (ammonium) wasteliquid
Waste liquid containing inorganic ammonia and ammonium salts produced during industrial production and use.
4 treatment and disposal methods
4.1 Stripping distillation method
4.1.1 Scope of application
Ammonia-containing waste liquid with an ammonia content (in terms of NH3) greater than 1000 mg/L is treated.
4.1.2 Method summary
By adjusting the pH of the ammonia-containing waste liquid, all the ammonia in the waste liquid is converted into molecular ammonia, which is based on ammonia and water molecules in the stripping rectification column.
The difference in volatility, control of the temperature inside the column, the ammonia is separated from the water in the form of molecular ammonia, and then recovered as an ammonia or ammonium salt product.
4.1.3 Process
The ammonia-containing waste liquid is placed in a pH adjusting tank, and the pH is adjusted to ≥10 by liquid alkali. The waste liquid is preheated by the bottom heat exchanger and then introduced into the stripping distillation column.
Ammonia removal. Passing steam to control the temperature inside the tower, evaporating ammonia in the waste liquid, and obtaining a deamination solution. The deamination solution is discharged after heat exchange and is steamed.
After the ammonia is sent to the top condenser, part of it is returned to the stripping rectification column, and a part of it is directly condensed to obtain ammonia water or added to the ammonia gas absorbent to be recovered.
Ammonium salt products.
