3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 20103-2006 apply to this document. For ease of use, the following is repeated
Certain terms and definitions in GB/T 20103-2006.
3.1
Hollow fiber membrane
The outer shape is a fibrous, hollow self-supporting membrane.
Note. For reverse osmosis membranes, the cortex is on the outer surface; for ultrafiltration membranes and microfiltration membranes, the cortex is on the inner surface, outer surface or inner and outer surfaces.
[GB/T 20103-2006, definition 2.1.28]
3.2
Ultrafiltration membrane
It consists of a very thin epidermal layer that acts as a separation and a thicker supporting sponge or finger-like porous layer.
Hundreds to millions of membranes.
Note 1. The thickness of the skin layer is usually only 0.1 μm to 1 μm, and the thickness of the porous layer is usually 125 μm.
Note 2. Most ultrafiltration membranes are asymmetric membranes.
[GB/T 20103-2006, definition 5.1.1]
3.3
Microfiltration membrane
A separation membrane having a membrane average pore diameter greater than or equal to 0.01 μm.
[GB/T 20103-2006, definition 5.1.2]
3.4
Hollow fiber curtain membrane module holowfiberflat-platemembranemodule
A device consisting of a hollow fiber membrane, a water collecting pipe, a casting tank, and a resin for sealing at the end of the liquid to be treated.
Note. Rewrite GB/T 25279-2010, definition 3.1.
3.5
Pressure type hollow fiber membrane module pressurizedholowfibermembranemodule
A membrane module composed of a hollow fiber membrane, a closed casing, and a capping resin, which is driven by a positive pressure to push the liquid.
