1 Scope

This standard specifies the design principles, materials, welding, and knotting of offshore oil drilling equipment, workover equipment and auxiliary equipment in the oil and gas industry. Structure, test procedures and requirements. This standard applies to drilling equipment and well repair equipment newly installed on various types of mobile and fixed offshore drilling and workover platforms. The design and construction of equipment and auxiliary equipment can be implemented with reference to the equipment in service. This standard applies to all processes from conceptual design to construction completion, including overhaul. The technical and procedural requirements given in this standard also apply to temporarily installed equipment.
