WARNING - Personnel using this standard should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This standard does not indicate all possible security questions
question. It is the responsibility of the user to take appropriate safety and health measures and to ensure compliance with the conditions set forth in the relevant national regulations.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 33584 specifies the water quality requirements for seawater cooling and the determination of sulfuric acid in seawater cooling water by spectrophotometer
Salt content method.
This part is applicable to the determination of sulfate content in seawater cooling water at 1000mg/L ~ 6000mg/L (calculated as SO2-4).

3 water quality requirements
The main water quality indicators of seawater cooling water shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
Table 1 Main requirements for water quality of seawater cooling water
Item unit allowable value
Calcium ion (Ca2) mg/L ≤1000
Magnesium ion (Mg2) mg/L ≤3200
Zinc ion (Zn2) mg/L ≤2
Chloride (Cl-) mg/L ≤42000
Sulfate (SO2-4) mg/L ≤ 6000
Dissolved solid g/L ≤ 100
Isozyme CFU/mL ≤ 5.0 × 105
Note 1. The permissible values for Ca2, Mg2, Cl-, SO2-4, and isozyme are derived from 6.1.2 and 6.1.3 of GB/T 23248-2009.
Note 2. The permissible value of Zn2 is derived from GB 8978-1996 Table 4 Class II pollutant maximum allowable discharge concentration level standard.
Note 3. The permissible value of the dissolved solids is determined by the maximum concentration of N = 2.5 times the actual seawater cooling.
