1 Scope
This standard specifies the method of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in electrical and electronic products.
This standard applies to the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls in polymer materials for electrical and electronic products with a limit of 0.5 mg/kg.

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Polychlorinated biphenyls; polychlorinated biphenyls;
The polychlorinated compounds formed by the substitution of hydrogen on the biphenyl ring with chlorine are collectively represented by the formula C12H (10-n) Cln (1≤n≤10).
4 principle
The extracted samples were extracted with organic solvent, and the extracts were concentrated, purified and fixed. The samples were determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
The retention time of the target analyte was quantified by qualitative and external standard method.
5 reagents or materials
Unless otherwise stated, all reagents are chromatographic pure.
5.1 Acetone. Analytical purity.
5.2 n-hexane.
5.3 Dichloromethane. Analytical purity.
5.4 Toluene.
5.5 Acetone n-Hexane (1 1). Prepared from acetone (5.1) and n-hexane (5.2) in volume ratio.
5.6 Dichloromethane n-Hexane (2 8). Prepared from n-hexane (5.2) and dichloromethane (5.3) in volume ratio.
5.7 Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) Reference material. See Appendix A for PCB reference materials and their purity information.
