1 Scope
This standard specifies ammonium persulfate - ferrous ammonium sulfate titration determination of chromium content.
This standard is applicable to the determination of chromium content in nickel-containing pig iron, the determination range (mass fraction). 0.50% ~ 10.00%.

Samples dissolved in acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid medium, silver nitrate as a catalyst, with ammonium persulfate oxidation of chromium into hexavalent, with ferrous sulfate
Ammonium standard titration solution titration, measured chromium content. For vanadium-containing samples, add excess ammonium ferrous sulfate standard titration solution, then potassium permanganate

Unless otherwise stated, only the analytical analytical reagents and secondary water in accordance with GB/T 6682 are used in the analysis.
4.1 nitric acid, ρ = 1.42 g/mL.
4.2 phosphoric acid, ρ = 1.69 g/mL.
4.3 hydrofluoric acid, ρ = 1.15 g/mL.
4.4 Hydrochloric acid, 1 1.
4.5 hydrochloric acid, 1 3.
4.6 sulfuric acid, 1 1.
4.7 Sulfuric acid, 5 95.
4.8 Sulfuric Acid-Phosphoric Acid Mixed Acid Solution. Take 1500 mL of water in a 3000 mL Erlenmeyer flask and slowly add.200 mL of phosphoric acid (4.2)
Stir evenly; water cooling, while stirring slowly add 800mL sulfuric acid (ρ = 1.84g/mL), stirring evenly.
4.9 silver nitrate solution, 10g/L. Weigh 1.0 g of silver nitrate in 100 mL of water and drop a few drops of nitric acid (4.1) in a brown bottle.
