This document was drafted in accordance with the rules provided in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for Standardization - Part 1.Rules for the Structure and Drafting of Standardizing Documents. This document serves as a replacement for GB/T 30898-2014 Scrap Steel from Slag for Steelmaking and GB/T 30899-2014 Selected Luppen for Smelt. This document integrates and revises the contents of GB/T 30898-2014 and GB/T 30899-2014.The main technical differences between this document and the original documents are as follows. a) For the integration and revision, Table 1 in GB/T 30899-2014 and Table 1 in GB/T 30898-2014 are merged into a new table 1 (see Table 1); b) The Scope is modified (see Chapter 1); c) The classification of scrap steel from slag, the range of total iron content in scrap steel from slag, and the impurity content in scrap steel from slag are modified and refined (see Table 1); d) The test methods are modified (see Chapter 6) (TRANSLATOR NOTE. it should be Chapter 5). The terms and definitions defined in YB/T 804 and the following are applicable to this document. 3.1 big scrap steel from slag Materials with a total iron (TFe) content greater than or equal to 60% and a particle size greater than 200 mm, selected during the processing. Scrap steel from slag is divided into three types. magnetic powder from steel slag, small scrap steel from slag, and big scrap steel from slag. The technical indicators of scrap steel from slag shall conform to the provisions of Table 1.5 Test Methods
