This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaced GB/T 288-1994 Rolling Bearings - Self-Aligning Roller Bearings - Boundary Dimensions. Compared with GB/T 288-1994, the major technical changes of this Standard besides the editorial modifications are as follows: --- Delete some schematic diagrams of the bearing structure (see Figure 1 ~ Figure 3, Figure 7, Figure 9 ~ Figure 16 of the 1994 Edition); --- Increase the boundary dimensions of the 38, 39, 48 and 49 series bearings (see Table 1 ~ Table 4 of this Edition); --- Delete the relevant cage code (see Table 1 ~ Table 14 of the 1994 Edition); --- Increase the boundary dimensions of some series of bearings (see Table 5 ~ Table 10, Table 12, Table 14 and Table 16 of this Edition); --- Delete the relevant dimensions of the adapter sleeve (see Table 13 ~ Table 18 of the 1994 Edition); --- Increase the structure diagram and boundary dimensions of the 22 and 23 series sealed bearings (see Appendix A of this Edition); --- Delete the comparison between the old and new code (see Appendix A of the 1994 Edition). This Standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rolling Bearings (SAC/TC 98).
