This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document supersedes GB/T 26952-2011 "Non-destructive Testing of Welds - Acceptance Grades of Magnetic Particle Testing for Welds", and is consistent with GB/T 26952-
Compared to.2011, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Add the association between this document and other documents, and clarify that this document does not include the acceptance level displayed in the group (see Chapter 1);
b) The normative reference GB/T 26951 (see Chapter 1 of the.2011 edition) has been deleted;
c) The normative reference GB/T 12604.5 (see Chapter 3 of the.2011 edition) has been deleted;
d) The requirement to assess adjacent defects separately has been added (see 5.1);
e) Group display has been removed (see 5.2 in the.2011 version).

1 Scope
This document specifies the acceptance level requirements for defects in ferromagnetic steel welds as indicated by magnetic particle testing.
The acceptance levels specified in this document are primarily applicable to testing during the manufacturing stage.
Note. The acceptance levels specified in this document can also be used for in-service testing.
The acceptance levels specified in this document are based on the expected results when using techniques conforming to ISO 17638 and parameters recommended in Appendix A.
The testing capabilities. Acceptance grades are related to welding documents, application documents, technical conditions, or regulations. Acceptance grades are interrelated with ISO 5817.
The relationship between them is shown in ISO 17635.
This document does not specify the acceptance level for group display.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in ISO /T S18173 apply to this document.

Linear indication
Displays that are longer than three times their width.

Non-linear indication
Displays with a length less than or equal to 3 times the width.
4.Detection parameters
Many parameters, whether individual or in combination, affect the ability of this technology to detect defects of a given size and orientation based on the condition of the inspected surface.
