Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document replaces GB/T 21123-2007 "Edible Oils Fortified with Vitamin A". Compared with GB/T 21123-2007, the following changes are made.
Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---Terminology and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2007 edition);
---The ranking system has been removed (see Chapter 4 of the.2007 edition);
---The quality metrics have been changed (see 4.1, 5.1 in the.2007 edition);
---The relevant hygiene requirements have been removed (see sections 5.3 and 5.4 of the.2007 edition);
---The testing methods for hygiene indicators have been removed (see section 6.3 of the.2007 edition);
---The factory inspection has been changed (see 6.3, 7.3 in the.2007 version);
---Type testing has been added (see 6.4);
---The general requirements for labeling and marking have been removed (see 8.1 in the.2007 edition);

1 Scope
This document defines the terminology and definitions for vitamin A-fortified edible oils, and specifies their classification, quality requirements, testing methods, and inspection procedures.
This includes rules, labeling, packaging, storage, transportation, and sales.
This document applies to vitamin A-fortified edible oils processed from edible vegetable oils.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Edible oils made from various edible vegetable oils, with added vitamin A according to the usage amount specified in GB 14880.
4 Quality Requirements
4.1 Quality Indicators
It should be implemented in accordance with the relevant national and industry standards for edible vegetable oil products.
4.2 Vitamin A fortification level
It should be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB 14880.
5.Test methods
5.1 Quality inspection of edible oils. The inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the inspection methods specified in the relevant national and industry standards for edible vegetable oil products.
5.2 Vitamin A content test. Performed according to GB 5009.82.
