Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document supersedes GB/T 18037-2008 "Basic Technical Requirements and Design Guidelines for Live Working Tools" and is consistent with GB/T 18037-2008.
In comparison, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);
---The terminology and definitions for traction equipment, passenger-carrying equipment, and insulating shielding equipment have been revised (see 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, and 3.1.9 of the.2008 edition).
Sections 3.1.8 and 3.1.6 have been amended to include terminology and definitions for clamps, current-carrying tools, electric field protection equipment, insulation protection equipment, and arc protection equipment.
